I want to come home and feel like I just checked-in to a boutique hotel everyday.”
Conceptualized as an urban retreat for an energetic couple that just recently became empty nesters, tree-House is designed to engage 7 mature oak trees that line the perimeter of the corner property. Overlooking an adjacent park the focus of this home was not size but quality of space and keeping in scale with the context of the neighborhood which is predominantly one-story 1950’s bungalows.
An open concept plan with stone walls and wood ceilings blur the boundaries between inside and outside creating a perfect playground for the homeowners three dogs. Keeping aging in place in mind the home allows for mostly one-story living with only a guest bedroom and storage on the second floor. An independently accessed guest house is located above the carport for when the grand-kids come to stay.
